As we sit with our families around the Chanukah lights, we must always remember those who are waiting for their “Daddy” to come home.
For the “Daddy’s” on the battlefield fighting a war for Klal Yisroel, and for the “Daddy’s” who are unfortunately never coming home again.
But we are all waiting for our “Daddy,” אבינו שבשמים, to finally come home to embrace us once again in the Beis Hamikdash במהרה בימינו אמן!
This classic song is so appropriate to our current day. A young child waiting at the Chanukah lights for his father to come home from war.
But Eli Gerstner takes us even deeper into the father son relationship, revealing the true depth and beauty of the song.
